Scanned pages aren't searchable
A 400-page records request is an image, not text. Finding the one entry that mentions a condition means reading it page by page.
Reys is a private workspace for gathering, reading and arranging the documents that support a VA disability claim — so nothing important stays buried in a folder on your desk.
The problem
Service treatment records arrive as hundreds of scanned pages. Private providers send PDFs in whatever format they like. Decision letters reference documents you filed years ago. By the time you need one specific page, you're scrolling through a folder trying to remember which file it was in.
A 400-page records request is an image, not text. Finding the one entry that mentions a condition means reading it page by page.
Documents live in email, on a phone, in a drawer. The link between a record and the condition it supports exists only in your head.
What Reys does
Upload a scan or a phone photo and Reys extracts the text automatically — including handwritten-era records and photographs. A stack of PDFs turns into something you can actually search by condition, date or provider.
Form definitions, facility listings and benefits reference data come from the VA's own public developer APIs — not retyped, not guessed at, not a secondhand summary that went stale.
Attach each document to the condition it supports. A record can back more than one. See at a glance where your evidence is strong — and where it's thin.
Every change is written to an append-only log with scheduled integrity checks, so a file's history is never quietly rewritten.
Export an organized set for a VA-accredited representative, a VSO or an attorney — whoever is actually filing.
Export everything at any time. No lock-in, and no need to keep using Reys to keep your own records.
Your data
Reys was built assuming the files inside it are among the most sensitive a person owns.
How it works
Records, provider notes, decision letters, DBQs — as PDFs or photos.
Text is extracted from every page, scans and photographs included.
Attach evidence to the conditions it supports and spot the gaps.
Export an organized set for whoever is helping you file.
Reys is not open for public sign-up yet. Access is granted individually while the product is still being shaped by the veterans using it. There is no charge during the beta and no payment details are collected.
Reys is a document organization tool. It is not a law firm, not a claims agent, and not a VA-accredited representative. It does not provide legal advice, does not represent veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs, and does not submit claims on your behalf.
Reys is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency. References to VA forms and data reflect information published through the VA's public developer APIs.
Only individuals and organizations accredited by the VA may represent you in a claim, and free help is available from accredited Veterans Service Organizations. Nothing here should be taken as a prediction or guarantee about the outcome of any claim.
